Day 1: Mini Planes, Head & Torso

The box of the model The box
The model Everything layed out on the bed
He is just a lil guy. Watch for scale.
two cockpits containing lil guys
two very tiny fighter jets in the colours
It really is like building a robot. We started with the gray frame
Then built the armour which lowered over and snapped in place.
This head alone was over 20 pieces.
Head with watch for scale.
Look out behind. This is the head and torso waiting for the rest.

Day 2: Arms

The model The beginning of the arms. I think these end up being hands
building around it and then starting on the armour
adding multi colour armoured pieces. So much of these parts are articulate
forearms with the beginnings of the upper arms
once again, building layers of armour on top of the frame
shoulder pads straight out of the 70's
We are already at 4 parts for a single arm and each of those parts is made of multiple parts.
near completion of the arms. These took so long
The start of arm....wings??? arm shields. Not really sure.
The box of the model a near completed arm and wing
The model the tiny little fingers
a fully assembled arm, hand and wing.
and the other....
both completed and trying to show off the articulation
added the arms to the frame and tried to get it to stand on its own
after failing to get it to free stand
The box of the model and now a closeup of the torso. This is where it stands at the end of day 2

Day 3: Legs

The model how I begun leg day
the beginning of feet. Already with both toe and ankle articulation
adding armour plates to the feet
these are the calves, together with the feet
another angle. this part is made of 3 parts, that are each made with 5 or 6 parts
adding armour, knees and wings to the legs
putting the feet tother with the calves. Lots of points of articulation
im guessing these are the knees??? exhaust ports on the knees?
Connecting the upper legs to the knees. At this point I saw that there are still 4 more pages on the legs.
The box of the model done 2 hours and havent finished the legs. This is how I have ended the day.

Day 4: Legs (continued)

The model couldnt sleep at 1am so thought I would finish the legs
adding armour to the upper legs
combining feet, lower and upper legs with the knees
adding large flared armour to the lower legs
the addition of multiple accessories including hip wings. Here is when I realized that the waist is a seperate item. Tomorrows task

Day 4: Waist and backpack

The model the initial frame for the waist
adding some armour as a crotch guard
some of the initial parts for the backpack
combining all those backpack parts
adding a frame around the initial parts
The model some antenna for the backpack
another part for the backpack???
combining all the backpack parts into two halves of a backpack.
time to start assembling. Adding the legs to the waist
now adding the backpack to the legs and waist
The model the instructions say to fold up one of the planes that were literally step 1 of the instructions.
Wow. the plane becomes the torso that combines the upper body to the lower body. I did not expect that.
the little pilot is still in there and is now front and centre. This part blew me away.
all body parts combined. Top down view.
front on view. There are so many moving parts but nothing is loose or fragile
The model view from behind and top down
behind and straight on
posed on top of my cupboard
posed on top of my cupboard

Day 5: Weapons

The model these are all the parts remaining
the initial build of the gun
the gun has another little guy. The second guy from the planes
not alot to these. A completed gun and a completed laser swprd
a close up of the completed mech, holding the completed gun
looking up at the completed weapons
front on close view of the completed set
far shot. Attempting to get the whole sword in frame.
